He assured the visitors that every issue would be resolved by the party leadership by next week.

PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh arrives Abuja court in handcuffs on January 19, 2016.

The National Publicity Secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, who was released from Kuje Prison on bail yesterday, Jan. 28, has expressed confidence in the party's comeback to power in 2019.

Speaking on Friday, Jan. 28, at the PDP publicity directorate meeting with some visiting parliamentarians from the United Kingdom, the spokesman said the party has adequate internal mechanisms to resolve its ongoing crisis, which he described as a sign of strength.

According to Metuh's media aide, Richard Ihediwa, the politician told the visitors that the PDP faced serious challenges soon after it lost in the elections, which led to the resignation of its national chairman, a development that created some issues within the party.

The leader of the parliamentary delegate, Mark Field, was said to have advised the party to ensure that it did not trash its brand in the face of challenges.

“Never trash your brand no matter whatever the government of the day is saying about you”, Feild was quoted to have told PDP.

Metuh is facing a seven-count charge of money laundering brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
