‘Corrupt person who worked with ex-president can’t rule Nigeria,’ Oba Akiolu says

Oba Akiolu also vowed to work against any corrupt individual who tries to become Nigeria’s president.

He made the comments on Wednesday, February 22, during the inauguration of the Nigerian Women Against Corruption Initiative in Ikeja.

“Never again would a corrupt man become Nigerian President. I insist that this is not era for somebody who spent the first three years under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo making money and turning public corporations to his own,” Oba Akiolu said according to ThisDay.

“He is planning to come back to be the President of this country again. I work against his ambition. I mean it and I mean it. By God’s grace, it shall not be so,” he added.

The initiative is a project of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in collaboration with the office of the First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari.
