The militants had used the website to promote their attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta region.

It was observed that the website became inactive at about 10.00pm on Saturday, June 4. An attempt to access the site displays an error Google page.

"404. That’s an error. The requested URL / was not found on this server. That’s all we know," it reads.

It was however uncertain if the group took down the site itself given that security agencies are conducting checks on it.

Meanwhile, the militant group's social media platforms, Facebook - ND avengers ; and Twitter - @NDAvengers are still active as at 12:25pm on Sunday, June 5.
