Dr Okonjo-Iweala laid a block on the foundation of one of the schools being rebuilt by the government and also met with relatives of the missing girls.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on Thursday, March 5, paid a visit to Chibok in Borno State, where over 200 girls were abducted in April 2014.

The Federal Government had earlier arranged a meeting with the girls’ family members during which it assured them that search efforts to find their wards were still on.

The Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka however stated, also on March 5, during an interview with BBC that the missing girls may never be found.
