'Petrol price may crash next week' - Association urges members to sell off available products

Olanrewaju urged IPMAN members to quickly dispose the products they have in stock to avoid loss when the price crashes.

The price of petroleum products may crash in the coming week, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) said on Wednesday, August 8.

The IPMAN Chairman, Alhaji Sulaiman O. Olanrewaju, disclosed this in Ilorin at a meeting which addressed the factional crisis that has been rocking the association.

“Price of petroleum products may crash next week from the information we gathered and we want to urge our members to sell out the products they buy at high prices to avoid loss. We are also glad to tell you that the products will be available in Ilorin soon,” he said.

He lamented that they cannot sell the product they bought at N96 for N87 adding that with information available to them, the price of petrol will soon go back to N87 in Ilorin as  most filling stations sell above the N87.
