Group wants wealthy individuals to set up small scale industries in sokoto

The Aliyu Magatarkada Advocacy Group has urged wealthy individuals in Sokoto State to set up small-scale industries to create more job opportunities to complement the efforts of the state government.

The secretary of the group, Alhaji Abubakar Yabo, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigerian (NAN) in Sokoto on Monday.

According to him, creating job opportunities for the teaming unemployed youths will enhance internal security in the state.

Yabo also advised Gov. Aminu Tambuwal to accord job creation top priority because it was one of the cardinal objectives in fighting poverty and unemployment.

He further urged the state government to continue to initiate policies and programmes that would enable residents to contribute their quotas toward the socio-economic and political growth of the state.

He said expressed confidence that the present administration in the state would implement people-oriented policies and programmes that would meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.

He explained that the task ahead was to ensure the full implementation of the laudable programmes that would continue to strengthen the state's development.
