Fayose imposes curfew following violent attack on Hausa Community

Fayose calmed the Hausas, urging them not to cause mayhem in the state in retaliation, and promised that justice will prevail.

Following a violent attack on the Hausa community in Ekiti State on Wednesday, May 20 by unknown gunmen, the State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has imposed dusk-to-dawn curfew on the capital, Ado-Ekiti.

Fayose made the order while addressing the Hausa Community on Wednesday night after the attack. He said the curfew begins on the evening of Thursday, May 21 – from 6pm till 6am.

“You said you love me, this is the time you have to show this love. I want to plead with you to submit whatever lethal weapon you have in your possession to the police. And if you refuse to do this, whether you are Yoruba or Hausa, the police will arrest you,” he said.

He promised the Community that justice will be done.
