Indonesian Embassy receives terror threat

The threat was sent by a group which identified itself as MOG and is currently being investigated by the police.

A terror threat has been issued against the Indonesian Embassy in Abuja, an official says.

This was disclosed on Thursday, May 14, 2015, by Foreign Ministry spokesman, Arrmanatha Nasir.

Arrmanatha said further that the issue is being addressed appropriately as all threats aimed at Indonesian embassies, consulates and diplomatic staff are taken seriously.

“We have a standard procedure to respond to such threats,” he said.

Arrmanatha also said that the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, Australia, had recently received a similar threat.

Indonesia recently attracted global outrage when it executed a group of drug dealers which included two Australians and four Nigerians.
