Ebonyi governor sacks wife's press secretary

The statement gave no reason for the decision but said that Olughu would be replaced by Mr Donatus Owoh, a staff of the Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation

 

The Ebonyi Government has terminated the appointment of Mr Vincent Olughu, Press Secretary to the Wife of the state Governor, Mrs Rachel Umahi.

This is contained in a statement made available to the New Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Emma Anya.

The statement gave no reason for the decision but said that Olughu would be replaced by Mr Donatus Owoh, a staff of the Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC).

Owoh’s appointment according to the statement, takes effect from Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.

NAN recalls that Olughu also served as the Press Secretary to Mrs Josephine Elechi, Wife of the former Governor of the state, Chief Martin Elechi.
