President Goodluck Jonathan has said that Nigeria’s troops will defeat Boko Haram within a month.

Jonathan also said that the terrorist sect is “getting weaker and weaker by the day.”

"I'm very hopeful that it will not take us more than a month to recover the old territories that hitherto have been in their [Boko Haram's] hands,” the President said in an interview with BBC.

Jonathan also stated that security agents would continue to search for the abducted Chibok girls.
