Drama in House of Reps as lawmakers move against Kachikwu

According to Vanguard, the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, at about 12.15p.m, read the proceedings of the previous sitting and moved for the admittance of Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, into the chamber but the move was greeted with the shouts of No! No! No!
Report said that after Dogara finished his comment, and allowed the Majority Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, to move the motion, there was an emphatic ‘nay’ from the opposition lawmakers in rejection of the motion.
The Speaker was said to have ignored the resounding 'nay' prayers by ruling in favour of the ‘ayes’ Gbajabiamila swiftly moved for the admittance of Kachikwu.
Reacting to this, some members started waving the national flag, while some shouted '‘all we are saying save Nigeria,’ and others chanted 'change.' Mainly PDP Reps were said to have shouted 'shame,' 'shame'.
It was gathered that at this stage, the Minority Leader, Rep Leo Ogor, approached the Speaker and after a brief chat with him, joined his fellow lawmakers.
Also, the Majority Leader and some of the lawmakers approached the Speaker, but the noise continued as all appeals by the Majority Whip, Ado Doguwa, urging his colleagues to exercise decorum was unsuccessful.
Eventually, the drama fizzled out and the Speaker gave the Minority Leader the floor and he immediately moved for a closed-door meeting.
