Arrested kidnapper sues Police IG, Idris

Evans' lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje filed the fundamental rights enforcement suit in the court on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

According to Daily Post, Evans, in the suit filed at the Federal High Court in Lagos, wants the court to compel the police to charge him to court or release him.

Reports say the Lagos police spokesman, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole has denied knowledge of the suit.

Famous-Cole said “Evans sued us? I have no information on this yet. But if this has happened, then we have not been served.

“Please get back to me later. However, we will respond once we get court summon.”

According to Vanguard, his lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje filed the fundamental rights enforcement suit in the court on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

It has been over 14 days since the alleged kidnapper was arrested by Abba Kyari’s intelligence response team.
