Ekweremadu also told the government to release cash to boost spending, which will in turn, stimulate the economy.

He however disagreed with the call by his boss, Bukola Saraki for the government to sell some national assets to raise money.

The Deputy Senate President said contracts should be awarded to contractors so they can create more jobs, adding that “If we must sell at all, let it be the non-performing assets.”
