FAAN upgrades security, logistics at airports

FAAN said the upgrade was to provide for the expected increase in passengers’ traffic in and around airports.

A statement signed by Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, the Acting General Manager, Corporate Affairs of FAAN in Abuja on Thursday, said the upgrade was to provide for the expected increase in passengers’ traffic in and around airports.

Yakubu said that new directional display units and airport dos and don’ts had been placed at strategic locations to guide travellers and educate new comers.

“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) hereby assures all airport users that Nigerian airports under its management are fully ready to play host to all air travellers especially during this Sallah celebration.

“FAAN is committed to watertight security, guaranteed safety and improved facilitation at the nation’s airports,’’ she assured.

FAAN is a service organisation statutorily charged to manage all commercial airports in Nigeria and provide service to both passenger and airlines.
