The Registrar-General, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Mr Bello Mahmud, has said that the commission is being repositioned for enhanced service delivery.

Mahmud was also reported as saying that the recently introduced decentralisation policy of the commission had further enhanced the process of business registration.

Mahmud, according to a statement issued by the CAC Director of Public Affairs, Mr Williams Churchill in Abuja on Thursday, made the statement at a management retreat.
He said that management used the retreat to take a critical look at the commission's regulatory role, its impacts and challenges.
''The RG said that the forum with the theme, “Tomorrow’s registry, today” was organised to enable employees to brainstorm on emerging administrative and operational issues, to chart the way forward.
"He stated that staff have a major role to play in repositioning the commission as a world class company registry.
"According to him, the commission is collaborating with stakeholders for a nationwide sensitisation campaign on the benefits of business registration.
"He stated that the objective was to migrate businesses from the informal to the formal sector," he.
