Attempts to arrest and extradite Ogun State Senator, Buruji Kashamu have been brought to a halt by a Federal High Court in Lagos.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had filed a case against Kashamu seeking to procure his arrest and extradition to the US to face drug charges.

However, the court on Monday, June 8, 2015, overruled the provisional warrant of arrest secured by drug agency and also halted the extradition proceedings against the Senator.

The NDLEA had laid siege to Kashamu’s home on May 23, in a bid to arrest him but failed for lack of a warrant.
