President to host ECOWAS summit on Burkina Faso tomorrow, September 22

The meeting will hold on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, in Abuja and will focus on the current political situation in Burkina Faso.

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to host an Extraordinary Summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government.

This was disclosed on Monday, September 21, via a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu.

Burkina Faso was recently rocked by a coup which resulted in the arrest and detention of President Michel Kafando and Prime Minister Yacouba Zida on Wednesday, September 16.
