President says unemployment will reduce after 2016 budget is passed

Buhari made the comment on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at a dinner organized in Abuja in honour of the visiting Alumni Association of the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that unemployment will reduce in Nigeria once the 2016 budget is passed.

Buhari made the comment on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at a dinner organized in Abuja in honour of the visiting Alumni Association of the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington.

"We will sit down to see how we can rehabilitate industries. We will do this in order to clear the problem of unemployment. This is extremely dangerous for our country. We are meeting after the budget to see how to revive industry and secure the economy,” Buhari said according to Vanguard.

The DSSC delegation was led by the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Ajjampur Ghanashyam and included a number of retired Indian officers who were Buhari’s colleagues at the institution.
