President in closed-door meeting with UK Defence Chief

It is believed that the meeting centred on the ongoing war against terror group Boko Haram.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, October 8, held a private meeting with the Defence Chief of the United Kingdom, General Sir Nicholas Houghton.The meeting was said to have held at the Presidential villa in Abuja. The agenda of the meeting was not ascertained as at press time as it was behind closed-door.

It was gathered that the National Security Adviser, Major-General Babagana Monguno (rtd) and the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright were also in the meeting.

It is believed that the meeting centred on the ongoing war against terror group, Boko Haram.
