President heads to US for 71st UN General Assembly (PHOTOS)

Buhari will also hold a meeting with President Barack Obama on Tuesday, as well as attend a high-level summit, hosted by the UN.

President heads to US for 71st UN General Assembly

The event will kickoff on Monday, September 19 and end on Friday, September 23.

The President is expected to deliver Nigeria’s statement at the opening of the General Debate of the Assembly, on the theme: "The Sustainable Development Goals: a Universal Push to Transform our World.”

He will also attend a high-level summit, hosted by the UN, on "Large Movements of Refugees and Migrants’’.

According to multiple reports, Buhari will also hold a meeting with President Barack Obama on Tuesday.

Presidents of Iraq and Colombia are also scheduled to meet with the US President the same day, but seperatetly.
