President appoints Fowler as FIRS Chairman

William Babatunde Fowler was appointed on Thursday, August 20, 2015, and will replace Samuel Ogungbesan.

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed William Babatunde Fowler to serve as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Fowler was appointed on Thursday, August 20, 2015, and will replace Samuel Ogungbesan.

Before his appointment, Fowler was the Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue and the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS).

He joined the Lagos State Government and was appointed the pioneer Permanent Secretary/ Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue in November 2005.
