According to report, the former head of state arrived the Presidential Villa at 3.30pm and left at 3.55pm. He declined to speak to journalists on his way out.
The committee was behind the two-time peace accord signed by former President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party and Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In August, the committee also expressed concerns, at a meeting with Buhari, about the process of the anti-corruption war of his administration - stressing that Nigeria was no longer in a military regime.
