Nigerians are happy with President – Garba Shehu

Shehu also said that if another presidential election was held today, Buhari would win like he won in 2015.

President Muhammadu Buhari

He made the comments on Tuesday, May 23, while speaking to journalists at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Punch reports.

Shehu said further that Nigerians are still in support of Buhari despite attempts by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties to discredit the president.

Also present at the press briefing were Special Adviser to Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina and Laolu Akande, who’s the spokesman for Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.

Buhari is currently in London on an indefinite medical leave after months of ill-health.

The president’s silence since his departure on May 7 has given rise to rampant rumours of his supposed death.
