‘I’ve invited Obama to Nigeria,’ President says

Buhari disclosed this on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, during an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.

President Muhammadu Buhari has invited US counterpart, Barack Obama to visit Nigeria during his upcoming trip to Africa.

Buhari disclosed this on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, during an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.

When asked if he was disappointed that Obama did not include a trip to Nigeria in his itinerary, Buhari said:

“I wouldn't say I was disappointed but how I wish he will change his mind and come to Nigeria.”

When asked if he invited Obama, he said:

“Well I asked him and I will send a formal invitation.”

Obama is expected to visit Kenya later this week in what is likely to be his last African tour as US president.
