Why splinter cell groups could not flourish in Lagos

Adding that measures put in place to stop the terrorists from coming in to Lagos state, must be maintained.

 

Major General Tamunomiebi Dibi, the  General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81Division Nigerian Army, during his formal handing over speech, made some startling revelations.

Dibi revealed that splinter cell groups of the dreaded Boko Haram, were rounded up, during routine raids by the Army, in strategic locations.

He said that the army put measures in place to foil any insurgent attempts on Lagos and Ogun states.

He also said: “You are all aware of what we are going through, the problems of Boko Haram, the fact that you are not in the North-East does not mean you are not fighting the war, you are fighting the war because wars of such nature does not have a front or a rear. Boko Haram can operate here and can operate in any part of the country.”

Adding that measures put in place to stop the terrorists from coming in to Lagos state, must be maintained.

He also advised the soldiers to remain vigilant, and make their personal security, a high priority.
