We’ll end insurgency soon – Buratai

Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai has said that the Nigerian military would soon put an end to the Boko Haram insurgency.

Buratai made the comment on Monday, November 23, 2015, while addressing officers and men of the 72 Special Force Battalion in Makurdi, Benue State, Daily Trust reports.

“We have a task to end Boko Haram once and for all. We must accomplish the task soon as your colleagues in the North-East are doing very well,” Buratai said.

Buratai also explained that he had visited Makurdi in order to obtain first-hand information on challenges facing the army in the state

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the military to stop the insurgency by December 2015.
