Boko Haram terrorists

Boko Haram insurgents have launched an attack on Baga, Borno state leaving two dead and seven injured.

The attack reportedly took place as the military escorted 1,200 indigenes of the town on a brief return visit after they were displaced by the terrorists.

“Boko Haram fired a rocket-propelled grenade on a military van in an ambush in Baga which killed two soldiers and destroyed the vehicle,” a resident Karimbe Maina said.

“Following the attack which killed two soldiers there was a prolonged gun battle ‎between soldiers and the Boko Haram gunmen, which forced the gunmen to flee,” vigilante, Haruna Shuaibu said.
