Terrorists abduct 80 in Cameroon, 20 rescued

The attack is said to have occurred on Sunday, January 18 in the Northern part of the country near the shared border with Nigeria.

Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly abducted 80 people after a raid in Cameroon.

“According to our initial information, around 30 adults, most of them herders, and 50 young girls and boys aged between 10 and 15 years were abducted,” a senior army officer deployed to the area told Reuters.

Three people were also killed in the invasion amid fears that the abducted children could be used as suicide bombers.

The attack was confirmed by Cameroon’s Information Minister, Issa Tchiroma Bakary to the Associated Press.
