Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau flanked by fellow terrorists.

The Peoples Democratic  Party (PDP)  has said that it’s willing to give the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) advice on how to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency.

The PDP however added that the APC had not yet sought its opinion on the anti-terror fight.

This was disclosed on Monday, September 14, 2015, by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh.

“We will not distract them from the policy they have on the fight against insurgency. We will not constitute ourselves a distraction,” Metuh said.

“They are in government. They have not requested for any idea from us. And if we have any idea we will give it privately, not publicly.  Because insurgency is a serious matter, it is a very sensitive matter.

It is not something that we will be politicizing or stating publicly. We do not want to politicize the war against insurgency.  We will rather remain very private on it and pray for the government to get it right and for Nigeria to be successful,” he added.

The APC however, responding through spokesperson, Lai Mohammed, questioned the PDP on why it didn’t offer the advice to former President, Goodluck Jonathan who was a member of the latter party.
