The governor-members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  have expressed concern at the increase in Boko Haram attacks in the Nigeria.

This sentiment was expressed on Wednesday, July 23, 2015, by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel who spoke on behalf of his colleagues.

He said:

“We actually enjoined the Armed forces to step up their security measures to see how they can stem the tide of this menace.”

“It’s really a thing of concern to PDP government that in spite of all the efforts in the Armed Forces these guys are still proving to be more formidable.”

“So, we are sure if the Armed Forces step up a little bit, they should be able to curtail.”

The sect has increased its bomb attacks in recent times striking Gombe State twice in one week with the most recent blast leaving 29 people dead.
