Local hunters arrest 3 suspected terrorists in Adamawa

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, in Gulak village in the Madagali Local Government Area of the state.

Local hunters in Adamawa State have arrested three suspected members of terrorist sect, Boko Haram.

The incident was confirmed to Premium Times by state legislator, Emmanuel Tsamdu.

Tsamdu said:

“The effort made by our young hunters yesterday is commendable. Reports reaching me say they have arrested three members of Boko Haram in Gulak.”

‘’The Local Hunters in Madagali are joining forces with those from Gombi areas to chase them (Boko Haram) out of our own territory.”

“The locals from Gombi seems to know the terrain and the hide out of this wicked people. Their coming will equally boost the morale of those youths from Madagali and other areas for the fight against the insurgents.”

A group of terrorists killed five people in the area over the weekend and Tsamdu, in confirming the deaths, said that locals had been equipped to repel further attacks.
