Chief of Army Staff says December deadline feasible

The statement also highlighted Buratai’s morale boosting visits to troops.

A statement released by the Army Head-Quarters say the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai has expressed confidence that Boko-Haram will be banished from Nigeria by December.

This was contained in statement signed by acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman.

An excerpt of the statement obtained from Vanguard Newspapers reads “I want to reassure Nigerians that Nigerian Army is ever determined to succeed in meeting up with the set deadline of defeating Boko Haram terrorists by the end of this year.”
