“I know where they are,” the insurgent told correspondent Kaj Larsen of Vice.
"You want to know where they are? They are not with us. If we can get what we want, we know where they are, we will get them," he added.
The commander also reportedly said that Boko Haram wants Nigeria to “commit to the teachings of Allah and the Prophet Muhammed.”
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his aim is to rescue the Chibok girls alive.
He also said that his government would negotiate with Boko Haram for the girls’ release if it could contact the real leaders of the sect.
Buhari’s aide, Femi Adesina went further to say that former president, Goodluck Jonathan, under whose regime the girls were taken, had been duped by fake members of the sect.
Jonathan has however denied the claim.
