Ojeme added that all farmers with recorded cases of bird flu have been certified free and that residents can now consume birds without fear.
According to her no new case of bird flu have been recorded since February 19.
Moreso, to fight further the Lassa fever virus and improve the environment, The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has decided to fumigate Abuja as a whole.
Muhammad Bello, FCT Minister, during an interactive session with the FCT Press Corps in Abuja, stated that the decision was made to reduce the incidences of avoidable diseases.
