Osinbajo visits displaced victims
The Vice President arrived in Benue state on Wednesday to pledge the Federal Government's support to victims.

This was revealed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, on his Twitter account on Wednesday, September 6.
He tweeted, "VP Osinbajo now in Benue State with a message from Mr. President to the people: we are with you all the way."
The Vice President will meet with state governor, Samuel Ortom and senior government officials in the state to assure them of the support of the Federal Government.
President Muhammadu Buhari had directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Thursday, August 31, to commence the distribution of relief resources to support the victims.
The state government opened the Makurdi International Market as a relief camp for displaced victims to seek shelter, and according to camp manager, James Iorhuna, 4,775 people had registered in the camp as at Tuesday, September 5.
According to an estimation by Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), a staggering 110,000 people across 24 communities in Makurdi and environs have been affected by the flood.
