5 people killed, 12 others injured in explosion

The explosion which occurred on Wednesday, October 22 at a motor park in Bauchi State has reportedly claimed 5 lives and left 12 people injured

An explosion which occurred in Bauchi State on Wednesday, October 22 has left 5 people dead and 12 others injured, according to reports.

The bombs used were loaded into a car which then exploded at the Azare Motor Park at about 9:45 p.m.

The incident has been confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Muhammad who said:

“Five persons burnt beyond recognition were certified dead, while 12 others sustained various degree of injuries, and are receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center in Azare.”

The PPRO added further that the scene of the blast had been cordoned off by the police and investigations were ongoing into the cause of the explosion.
