Senate tells Buhari’s SGF to resign immediately over misuse of IDP funds

The committee, which is chaired by Senator Shehu Sani, submitted its report on Wednesday, December 14.

The legislative chamber reached the decision after receiving the report of a committee created to probe corruption in the management of funds for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North-East.

The committee, which is chaired by Senator Shehu Sani, submitted its report on Wednesday, December 14.

The initial call for Lawal’s resignation was made by Senator Baba Kaka Garbai who also said that the SGF should be prosecuted.

Senators Dino Melaye and Solomon Adeola also called for Lawal’s resignation.
