The Independent Corrupt Practices and other offences Commission (ICPC) has reportedly launched an investigation into the administration of former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

The ICPC is said to have also begun probing other former governors including Sullivan Chime of Enugu, Ibrahim Shema of Katsina and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano.

According to reports, the former governors are being investigated over allegations of contract fraud.
A source told Vanguard:
“We will ensure that we thoroughly investigate all allegations brought before us so that nobody would be left in doubt about our commitment to fighting corruption.”
“The chairman has dispatched a team to the affected states and they are expected to report back in the next two weeks. Nobody would be spared if found culpable.”
Amaechi is also being probed by a judicial panel instituted by his successor, Nyesom Wike and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
