The two first ladies met during the broadway event which focused on the empowerment of the girl child.
Mrs Buhari met Michelle Obama, who joined broadway stars and Stephen Colbert in a charity event which was created to coincide with the gathering of world leaders in New York for the opening of the 71st UN General Assembly.
At the event, Michelle pledged to keep pushing for women's right even after leaving the White House before an audience of New York schoolgirls and spouses of heads of state.

Michelle and her hubby, Barack Obama had launched the Let Girls Learn 18 months ago to seek seek the creation and enhancement of educational opportunities for teenage girls, especially in underdeveloped countries.
