Tambuwal to establish fertilizer plant

Sokoto State governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has set up a technical committee for the establishment of a new fertilizer plant in the state.

The PDP wants Hon. Aminu Tambuwal to resign because he defected to the APC

The plant will be established by Prime Gold Fertilizer and Chemical Company, an indigenous company based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Inaugurating the committee in Sokoto Tuesday, 15 March, 2016, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Bashir Garba, who represented the governor, said the project is of prime importance to the government adding that they will do everything possible to ensure it comes to fruition.

He said the technical committee will study and appraise the proposal sent by Prime Gold Fertiliser Company towards ascertaining its credibility and feasibility while securing a fair deal for the state government under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement.

"The committee will also identify a suitable location for the setting of the proposed company, as well as determining the scope and equity participation of the Sokoto state government" the SSG said in a statement signed by Tambuwal Spokesman, Imam Imam.
