I became worried and angry recently when I confirmed that she also took my best friend to her home as her suitor.

I'm Hassan from Taraba. I met a girl I wanted to marry because I love her very much. She already introduced me to her father as her suitor but I became worried and angry recently when I confirmed that she also took my best friend to her home as her suitor after I had visited.

Please advise me on what to do I’m very close to hurting someone.

Violence has never solved any problem; rather it stops you from thinking straight and leaves you in a mess once you’ve realized your mistakes.

It is hard to see someone you love been taken away by someone else before your eyes, it hurts but you have to do the right thing. Doing the right thing means being logical about your next move.

You’re feeling bad right now but you have to sit and think about this, were you and your ‘girlfriend’ officially in a relationship before she took you to see her dad or did you assume you both in one just because you indicated your intentions to marry her.

Did you put pressure on her concerning your marriage plans? Are you sure she wanted to marry you?

Before you take any action, it’s advisable to call her for a conversation with, let her know that her recent behavior is hurting you and she should tell you the truth and make her choice. Avoid being violent at all cost, which means you can be silent for a while or take a walk if you get really angry.
