As a guy, it's absolutely important you have these items on your person when travelling.

Ladies may take all the shine when it comes to body grooming, but the guys are by no means left out.

Travelling often entails leaving one's base to a different location and this can sometimes prove disorienting but there's nothing more grounding than having a few personal effects.

That said, here are 5 essential grooming essentials no guy should ever travel without.

1. Shaving kit: This goes without saying, every guy who shaves must absolutely travel with a shaving kit. It's also important to have a traveller's adapter or have a battery operated clipper as some country sockets differ from that of Nigeria.

2. Deodorant/perfume: Keep every unpleasant smell away with a deodorant and/or perfume.

3. Lotion: It's important to keep the skin hydrated while on a trip, hence the need for lotion.

4. Hair cream: Just as the skin needs to be kept hydrated, it's also important to keep hair well-nourished.

5. Shoe shining kit: The saying goes you can tell a lot about a man from his shoes, so have a shoe shining kit handy to keep those shoes smart and shiny.
