Singer does not think ‘Mama’ is an imitation of Davido’s ‘Fall’

According to him, people shouldn’t be fast to judge as they don’t know the details of which song was produced first.

The singer who is currently enjoying a good run due to the commercial success of the single was interviewed by Hip TV, and he addressed the issue.

“Do you even know the song that got recorded first?” Mayorkun asked. “At the end of the day, it’s just finished production you people listen to and just pour out your mind about it.”

He also added that the two songs were produced by the same producer, Kiddominant, and as a result one song could have rubbed off on the other.

“Maybe his ideas have rubbed off on the songs, but then it’s just music, we have so many songs like that. Everybody should just calm down,” he said.

Mayorkun has been influenced by his label boss, Davido, who is having a good run in 2017. His single ‘Mama’ has grown to become one of 2017’s hit records, following its predecessor, ‘Love you tire’, which featured Mr Eazi.
