Belvedere Raises A Record Breaking $35 Million for 'Cinema Against Aids' for Africa.

At the AMFAR Gala for 2014 Cannes festival, Belvedere raised a record breaking $35 million for 'Cinema Against Aids' for Africa.

Belvedere Vodka, the ‘World’s Original Luxury Vodka” rounded off a week of activity at the Cannes Film Festival by partnering with AMfAR for their 21st Annual ‘Cinema Against Aids’ Gala to raise a record breaking $35 Million.

To celebrate, Co-chair and Chief Executive Officer of Moet Hennessy Christophe Navarre debuted a limited edition Belvedere Silver Sabre and presented to the evenings host Sharon Stone.

The amfAR Gala is one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the Cannes Film Festival at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, and is widely considered the Festival’s most exclusive gatherings. The black-tie event is celebrated for its glittering guest list, its unpredictable live auction, and its unrivaled success in generating funds for lifesaving AIDS research.

The evening included a line-up of celebrities including Sharon Stone, John Travolta, Jessica Chastain, Heidi Klum, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Rosario Dawson, and performers including Lana Del Rey, Robin Thicke and Aloe Blacc.The cause is near and dear to Belvedere Vodka, as the spirits purveyor is also a proud partner of Project (RED) and supporter in the on going fight against HIV/AIDS.

This year marks Belvedere Vodka’s seventh year participating at Cannes. To celebrate Belvedere’s Vodka’s involvement with amfAR, a limited edition Silver Sabre magnum was created exclusively for the occasion and debuted at the official amfAR'sCinema Against AIDS after-party.Christophe Navarre, CEO of Moët Hennessy, presented Sharon Stone, with the limited edition bottle at last night’s star-studded event.

Commenting on Belvedere Vodka’s participation with amfAR, Charles Gibb, President of Belvedere Vodka said,

For its fourth consecutive year, Belvedere Vodka has partnered with (RED) to launch a BELVEDERE Special Edition bottle in support of HIV research. (BELVEDERE) contributes 50% of its profits to the Global Fund to help eliminate HIV/ AIDS in Africa.

In addition to the amfAR Gala, Belvedere Vodka has been a fixture on the party scene of Cannes hosting a number of key events. Most recently, the spirits brand hosted musician Rita Ora for a performance at Le Club by Albane in Cannes.
