OAP will play "Go-Go" in upcoming Nollywood film, "Foreigner's God"

Toke Makinwa will play 'Go-Go' alongside Pete Edochie, Bambam, Teddy A, Onyeka Onweny and Sam Dede in "Foreigner's Gods."

Makinwa joins talented actors such as Pete Edochie, Onyeka Onwenu, Ini Dima-Okojie, Sharon Ooja, Sam Dede, Linda Osifo, Annie Idibia, Toyin Abraham, Lala Akindoju and Kunle Idowu.

Speaking to WOW Magazine about her character 'Go-Go,' the OAP said she went through series of emotions when she was informed of the role.

"When I was informed of the role by the producer, I went through a series of emotions; fear, doubt compassion. Rape is a huge issue, millions of women out there suffer in silence and being able to stand with victims of rape with my voice is an opportunity I wouldn’t miss in a lifetime."

The OAP also talked about what it was like working with Ifan Micheal, the executive producer of the star-studded film.

"He is so talented. Ifan is definitely one to watch out for. He has an idea in his head, you may not see it immediately but once you trust his creative genius, you look at what he has created and have nothing but deep admiration and respect for his vision," she told WOW.

This won't be her first screen appearance in Nollywood. In 2015, Makinwa made a cameo appearance on Funke Akindele's hit TV series, "Jenifa Diaries," sharing a scene with Akindele and Juliana Olayode.

In 2017, she announced her role in the upcoming movie, "Markate Must Sell," as her major acting debut.

Convinced that this is just another case of tribal discrimination, Pepper Claude is committed to having Anya and her people free, until a series of unfortunate events set the world as he knows it, spiralling out of control.

Written by Xavier Ighorodje and produced by Ifan Micheal, who produced the 2016 film "Lotanna,"there's no release date attached to "Foreigner's God."
