The actor became ill in October 2006, and died on March 20, 2007.

Agu was popular for his role in Amaka Igwe's "Checkmate," and the unforgettable undefinedamong others.

2. He became a household name in the Nigerian entertainment industry after his appearance in the 1992 Nigerian film "Living in Bondage," which starred him as Ichie Millionaire.

6. He started his formal education at Ladi-Lak Institute Alagomeji, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. His high school education was at St. Finbarr's College, Lagos. He finally attended the University of Lagos, where he studied Mass Communication.

7. The actor made his first Stage appearance in the play "This is Our Chance". His other stage plays include "The Gods Are Not to Blame" by Ola Rotimi, and "Trials of Brother Jero" by Wole Soyinka.
