Cable channel bankrolls IREP 2015

The fifth edition of the annual IREP International Film Documentary Festival has kicked off amid glitz and glam at the Freedom Park.

The fifth edition of the annual IREP International Film Documentary Festival has kicked off amid glitz and glam at the Freedom Park, situated on Lagos Island on Thursday, March 19, 2015.

Themed Reinventing Documentary Filmmaking in a digital space, the 2015 edition of the documentary festival was bankrolled by popular Cable channel, Africa Magic.

Declared open by the Director Mnet West Africa, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, the theme formed the overriding concern that the keynote speeches concentrated on.

Also spotted on the occasion were the Director General NBC, Emeka Mba, Mahmood Alli-Balogun, Femi Odugbemi and Jean Marie Teno.

According to the organizers, highlights of the festival will include will include films screenings, keynote speeches, panel discussions, producers' roundtable, awards presentation, and training/workshops.
