Funke Akindele is the nation's sweet heart.

We love Funke Akindele so much and not only because of her acting prowess, Akindele has also got a witty persona that endears her to so many people.

One of Nigeria's leading actresses, Akindele is known for popularizing the Yoruba accent through her movie "Jenifa" which also has a spin-off series with the same title that airs across the country.

Akindele was one of the lead actors in the popular United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) sponsored series known as “I Need To Know” which aired from 1998-2002. Her big break came with her debut movie “Jenifa”.

She has gone on to star in over 100 movies and has also won a lot of awards. She is currently married to Nigerian rapper, JJC Skillz.
