Actor involved in a bike accident

George Clooney's trip in Italy has been cut short after a bike accident.

According to TMZ, the actor was riding a scooter on the Italian island of Sardinia when a Mercedes-Benz sedan turned in front of him and hit him. He was knocked off the scooter and the driver of the car called for assistance.

George was taken to Sardinia's John Paul II Hospital, and reportedly suffered bruising on his leg, arm, and pelvis. An MRI scan is said to have been carried out and he is reportedly doing fine.

Police in the area says the driver of the Mercedes Benz was totally wrong. It is not clear if the driver was arrested and charges laid against him. We hope George Clooney recovers quickly from this accident.
