Celebrity makeup artist, hubby, robbed, stranded in SA

The Maybelline NY creative director shared a note via her Instagram page earlier today, June 26, 2016, telling of how herself and her husband got robbed and stripped of everything they had, leaving them stranded in the city.

Bimpe Onakoya for Complete Fashion magazine

Sharing a blank post, she wrote:

"My hubby and I were robbed at gun point this morning in Jo'burg, less than 1 hour after touch down, they crossed our car, four guys came out armed to the teeth with sophisticated looking guns, they emptied us, took everything, my makeup box, my camera and lenses, 2 Mac laptops, all our clothes, our international passports, so right now we don't have identity in a foreign land, the police have been wonderful to us, still trying to find a solution to this mess!!! #strandedinjoburg!!"

Comments from fans reveal that the situation has been the same for a while, with scary descriptions of how robbers attack people in broad day light.

We hope Onakoya is able to extricate herself and her husband from the situation, while advising that everyone in the environs be extra vigilant.
